BMC Goes With IPLocks

IPLocks, a provider of database vulnerability assessment and continuous risk monitoring systems,says BMC Software, the provider of enterprise management solutions, selected the IPLocks database security and auditing analysis technology to complement its SmartDBATM data management solutions.



IPLocks provided the following details:

BMC Software will resell the IPLocks technology under the name Database Security Management by IPLocks as an integral part of its SmartDBA offering to provide customers around the world, including the Americas, EMEA and most of Asia, with a comprehensive database security management solution.

BMC’s SmartDBA data management solutions play a central role in the Company’s Business Service Management strategy for enabling companies to manage their business critical services from both an IT and business perspective. SmartDBA products intelligently and proactively manage enterprise data, so customers can achieve high data availability levels at a low cost.

The combined BMC Software/IPLocks solution will enable customers to:

--Meet the data privacy and data integrity requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley, Gramm-Leach-Bliley, HIPAA, 21 CRF 11, Basel II, CA 1386, FISMA and other regulations

--Identify security holes in the database environment and access remediation tools

--Fulfill audit requirements by maintaining a history of database security-related changes and provide detailed reports to internal and external auditors

--Identify suspicious activity and data misuse

--Monitor outsource providers
