CIBER Joins LogicLibrary Team

04/23/2004

LogicLibrary, a provider of software asset management tools, says CIBER, Inc. has joined the Logidex Service Alliance. “By combining LogicLibrary's software asset management solution with CIBER's enterprise integration practice,” says LogicLibrary, “customers will be able to leverage their software investments and enjoy the strengths of the complementary technologies, such as the ability to reduce the complexity of projects, increase efficiency and lower costs.”

LogicLibrary added these details:

CIBER, based in Greenwood Village, Colorado, is a leading international systems integrator that builds, integrates and supports mission-critical systems for both private and government sector clients. Through its experience with a wide range of software, hardware, ERP and supply chain solutions, CIBER has developed a reputation for providing best-in-class integration solutions. As a member of the Logidex Service Alliance, CIBER will add Logidex™ to its integration services offering.

Logidex's patent-pending technology maps relationships between software development assets (SDAs) and the business processes they support, giving enterprises the ability to manage and reuse those assets throughout the complete application lifecycle. Logidex is the only management solution that offers model-based searching, out-of-the-box assets, measurements and metrics-all within existing .NET and Java development environments.

"Our customers increasingly see the need to understand and reuse metadata in support of new service-oriented architectures (SOA) initiatives with either J2EE or .NET," said Dr. Khalid Mansour, vice president and national practice leader for Enterprise Integration at CIBER. "Solutions like Logidex assist our customers in meeting the increased demand for metadata understanding in areas of enterprise architecture, outsourcing, and application development and integration."

"One of the top challenges companies face in integration projects is controlling costs without jeopardizing quality," said Greg Coticchia, CEO of LogicLibrary. "As part of the Logidex Service Alliance, CIBER will be able to provide clients with a tool that addresses this challenge head-on. The Logidex software reuse process emphasizes cost efficiency and improved productivity throughout the complete application lifecycle. Over the years CIBER has earned a reputation for providing best-in-class integration solutions, and, through this partnership, we intend to help them maintain and further their leadership position throughout all industries."

Logidex is a software development asset (SDA) mapping and discovery engine that represents inherently complex, enterprise application environments in a graphical, intuitive way. The Logidex SDA Library is an inventory of SDAs and their relationships to each other, the company's business processes and the technical infrastructure. SDAs can include legacy applications, components, XML schemas, database tables, patterns, frameworks and other key building blocks of application development. Unlike component catalogs, which merely list software assets, Logidex provides a one-of-a-kind Active Design that enables users to search based on the technical and business processes the SDAs support. It's the only solution that recognizes what SDAs exist, where they're located, and understands how each fits into a company's business and technical landscape.

Quick Guide: What is Enterprise 2.0?

A lot of people are talking about Enterprise 2.0 as being the business application of Web 2.0 technology. However, there's still some debate on exactly what this technology entails, how it applies to today's business models, and which components bring true value. Some use the term Enterprise 2.0 exclusively to describe the use of social networking technologies in the enterprise, while others use it to describe a web economy platform, or the technological framework behind such a platform. Still others say that Enterprise 2.0 is all of these things. Learn More
