Omniture Overture To Hyatt Hotels Hits Mark

Omniture, a provider of Web analytics for large, complex Web sites, says Hyatt Hotels Corporation has implemented Omniture’s Web analytics product SiteCatalyst throughout Hyatt’s corporate Web site, including all 121 Domestic Hyatt Hotels and Resorts. SiteCatalyst “is the industry’s most mature remotely hosted Web-analytics solution and enables managers and executives throughout an organization to see in real-time all the factors that influence the success of their online businesses,” Omniture says. “SiteCatalyst was chosen to help Hyatt better understand and drive customer conversion rates.”
"Prior to implementing SiteCatalyst, tracking revenue, bookings and conversion ratios through our current set of reporting tools was a very labor intensive job," said Peter Chesek, manager of Hyatt.com for Hyatt Hotels Corporation. "We needed the ability to understand trends associated with revenue and conversion ratios across multiple time periods, and be able to drill down into these trends by search engines, referring urls, campaigns, etc. Our hotels have always asked for this type of information and now with SiteCatalyst we can provide it."
SiteCatalyst’s scalability and flexibility allows Hyatt to provide individual report suites for each hotel, Omniture says.
Chesek continued, "We are tracking all of our hotels with SiteCatalyst. Each Hyatt Hotel has their own account and can see only those reports that relate to their property. In addition, we have expanded the segmentation for several Hyatt Hotels to include mini-site information. This may include secondary Web sites associated with a hotels restaurant, spa or golf course. We greatly appreciate SiteCatalyst’s ability to adapt to our hotel data -- the report naming, permission setting functionality has allowed us to make it unique to each hotel.
