iWay Software, an Information Builders company and “the world's leading adapter provider,” formed a partnership with Novell, which iWay says will provide Novell customers with connectivity to more systems through iWay Intelligent Adapters.
“With these adapters, the visual integration environment of Novell exteNd and its intuitive drag-and-drop approach will be available to customers integrating systems such as Lawson, PeopleSoft, J.D. Edwards, Siebel, Oracle, and Baan,” iWay notes.
According to iWay, “Novell exteNd 5 is a service-oriented architecture suite that helps companies rapidly develop Web services-based applications that integrate legacy systems to reach new customers, build more effective partnerships, and give employees faster access to business resources. This award-winning technology with its visual approach to building applications allows corporate developers to design applications that extract data and functionality from legacy systems and provide access through interactive portals without writing a single line of code. The iWay Software adapters will expand access to additional relational and nonrelational databases, as well as various e-business standards.”
"Novell exteNd provides a broad range of out-of-the-box connectivity options for customers, and this relationship with iWay enhances our capabilities in that area," said Novell Senior Vice President David Litwack. "The proven technology of Novell exteNd combined with the iWay adapters allows us to quickly broaden and deliver extensive integration capabilities on multiple platforms, which is critically important to our customers."
“The recent agreement with Novell is another significant success for our Adapter Factory Division," says John Senor, president of iWay Software. "We set out to dominate the adapter market, and I think we can easily argue that we have reached that objective."
Novell will begin offering iWay Adapters in the second quarter of 2004.
