03/02/2004

Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ: INFA), the provider of data integration and business intelligence software, says the California State Automobile Association selected the Informatica PowerCenter data integration platform as the data integration and movement engine for its enterprise data warehouse. “The company’s data warehouse will include customer, member and product information to help provide its marketing, actuarial, underwriting, product management and finance departments with actionable business insight,” the vendor says.

“Informatica PowerCenter was the unanimous choice of our selection committee over its competition,” said David Graybeal, manager of data warehousing at the California State Automobile Association. “The integration capabilities, metadata repository and scalability of the PowerCenter software are clearly best in class.”

Informatica says PowerCenter “is the industry-leading data integration platform for building, deploying and managing enterprise data warehouses, as well as other data integration projects. Informatica PowerCenter helps enable users to easily transform data from disparate enterprise systems and sources into reliable information to support strategic business initiatives.”

“As a leading membership services and insurance company, the California State Automobile Association must manage a vast amount of customer, member and policy data,” said Clive Harrison, executive vice president of worldwide field operations at Informatica. “Informatica is pleased to work with yet another industry leader to support its implementation of data integration best practices.”

Established in 1902, AAA offers a wide array of automotive, travel, insurance and financial services to more than 46 million members in the United States and Canada. The California State Automobile Association is the AAA affiliate serving more than 4 million members in Northern California, Nevada and Utah.
