PolarLake, Librados Link Up In Partnership Pact

01/28/2004

PolarLake, a provider of standards-based incremental integration, has reached a licensing agreement with Librados, the standards-based application integration software company that PolarLake says enables “easier connectivity to an array of enterprise applications and mainframe-based systems.” The announcement strengthens PolarLake's challenge to traditional integration vendors with its ability to deliver mission critical-integration solutions incrementally and at a much lower investment cost, the vendor asserts.

“With incremental integration at the core of PolarLake's strategy, the company can now provide its customers with a standards-based, out of the box integration to enterprise information systems such as SAP R/3 software, Siebel, PeopleSoft, CICS, IMS, J.D. Edwards, Oracle, and more,” PolarLake says. “The new PolarLake Adapters augment PolarLake's existing integration capabilities which cover Relational Databases, J2EE application servers, CORBA, Web Services, Message queuing systems and system management platforms as well as messages encoded in XML, binary and the industry specific formats defined by organizations such as SWIFT and FIX in financial services.”

"For too long organizations have been expected to pay excessive amounts for integration and have been locked-in with the inflexible and proprietary solutions from the major vendors. PolarLake's sole focus is on allowing our customers to deliver rapid return on investment by focusing on solving high value business integration problems with an XML and Web Services based approach capable of evolving and expanding to address the longer term objectives of the organization." said Ronan Bradley, CEO, PolarLake. "This partnership, combined with our existing capabilities allows us to provide out of the box integration with the vast majority of deployed applications. I believe that we are well positioned to take the lead in the new era of flexible standards based integration."

"We are delighted that PolarLake have selected Librados to provide its adapter capability. PolarLake is well positioned to offer their customers a complete solution to their integration requirements that will significantly reduce implementation cost and complexity," said David Richards, CEO, Librados. "We believe that PolarLake's decision will allow it to provide a superior solution to its competitors at a much reduced cost of ownership.”
