JBoss Group, provider of “the most popular Java application server,” says it has worked with Computer Associates (CA) to support CA's Unicenter Web Services Distributed Management (WSDM) native observation on the open source JBoss application server, enabling customers to monitor and manage Web services deployed on the JBoss platform. This move enables enterprises using CA and JBoss to ensure the performance and integrity of Web services across the enterprises.
Unicenter WSDM's native observation is available today for JBoss. The Unicenter WSDM manager is a J2EE-compliant application that has been optimized to run on JBoss.
"JBoss Group is pleased to support CA and its new Web services management product, which is a key ingredient to ensuring successful deployment of Web services in the enterprise," said Marc Fleury, founder of JBoss.org and president of JBoss Group. "JBoss Group's alignment with CA's new product gives our mutual customers added performance and control when deploying Web services on the JBoss platform."
“Unicenter WSDM enables IT organizations to closely track a full range of performance indicators and rapidly respond to service interruptions,” JBoss and CA say. “While other vendors offer proprietary point products that address isolated elements of security and management, only CA delivers a comprehensive, standards-based solution that addresses all aspects of Web services management-including monitoring and control of the underlying infrastructure.”
"CA's Unicenter WSDM provides robust end-to-end management of next-generation Web services applications," said Dmitri Tcherevik, vice president of Web services at CA. "With the increasing popularity of the JBoss application server, this integration will offer significant value to a growing number of organizations around the world."

This conference will teach business leaders what to expect, and what to avoid, to make their SOA journey a success. SOA is a long journey, not a single project, and distributed architectures are inherently complex. Success requires new ways of working, creating more efficient cross organization processes, adopting new tools, and building new skills.Register

A lot of people are talking about Enterprise 2.0 as being the business application of Web 2.0 technology. However, there's still some debate on exactly what this technology entails, how it applies to today's business models, and which components bring true value. Some use the term Enterprise 2.0 exclusively to describe the use of social networking technologies in the enterprise, while others use it to describe a web economy platform, or the technological framework behind such a platform. Still others say that Enterprise 2.0 is all of these things. Learn More
