Suntail AS, a software development company based in Oslo and London, says it will provide openFabric licences, services and customization to The Morgan Crucible Company, described by Suntail as one of the world's leading specialist engineering companies.
Suntail explains that, “openFabric provides a framework for creating secure, scalable, distributed applications. The entire product range is designed from the ground up to function in a distributed, networked business environment. The openFabric product suite consists of a development environment, server platform and a revolutionary client tool. Using the openFabric framework Suntail can quickly create powerful distributed systems customised to specific business needs.”
Corporate portal requirements vary from company to company, but consistently the decision to invest financial and human resources is connected to productivity, bottom lines and meeting business objectives.
To this end, Suntail says it has designed the solution using openFabric to meet the following requirements from Morgan:
"We are delighted to sign this agreement with Morgan Crucible", says Stephen Lord, Technical Director at Suntail. "We now have the opportunity to work long term with a world-class company, and we are confident that Suntail, together with the technical team at Morgan will build a cutting edge secure content management system for the Morgan group".
Says Chris Armstrong, CTO at Morgan Crucible, "We are more than happy to work with the team at Suntail. We have been engaged in a pilot using Suntail's openFabric over a period of 4 months. The test has been successful in every respect. Suntail's product is interesting to us because it allows the intelligent exchange of information globally and in real time. The openFabric product will help streamline our business processes, not only internally, but also at the customer interface."
Suntail targets customers who require business software and infrastructure solutions tailored for a networked, geographically diverse environment. Markets such as Web Services, Enterprise Application Integration, Content Publishing and others are expected to achieve record growth in the next few years, Suntail points out.

This conference will teach business leaders what to expect, and what to avoid, to make their SOA journey a success. SOA is a long journey, not a single project, and distributed architectures are inherently complex. Success requires new ways of working, creating more efficient cross organization processes, adopting new tools, and building new skills.Register

A lot of people are talking about Enterprise 2.0 as being the business application of Web 2.0 technology. However, there's still some debate on exactly what this technology entails, how it applies to today's business models, and which components bring true value. Some use the term Enterprise 2.0 exclusively to describe the use of social networking technologies in the enterprise, while others use it to describe a web economy platform, or the technological framework behind such a platform. Still others say that Enterprise 2.0 is all of these things. Learn More
