Fiorano Software, a provider of enterprise-class business integration and "Enterprise Backbone" solutions, is welcoming the move to open benchmarking of Enterprise Messaging Software.
Commenting on the rattling of swords between TIBCO and Sonic Software, Atul Saini, CEO of Fiorano said "We have been pushing for open benchmarking since 1998 when the JMS standard was released. Unfortunately the very vendors now proclaiming 'freedom of speech' rights have had their legal departments call us in the past over benchmark comparisons".
"Open benchmarking tremendously benefits the industry and consumers alike. We welcome the move by vendors to finally remove all restrictions on the publication of benchmark results in their license agreements" adds Saini.
Firoano asserts that, "FioranoMQ, Fiorano's JMS Server, is the fastest server on the market today. Fiorano has been the acknowledged leader since 1998 when Sun Microsystems released the JMS standard. Fiorano was the first company to release a commercial JMS product in September 1998 and has for the last 5 years been the fastest, most reliable JMS Server on the market."
In response, TIBCO spokesman Bob Berger said, "There is no substance behind a vendor's claim when they benchmark their product and say - miraculously - that it's the fastest. It's obvious that the company that pays for the benchmark wins. It also shows a shallow understanding of what it really takes to make a customer successful. Speed is just one thing; it's not the only thing. Experience, demonstrated technology leadership, proven success in demanding environments, standards and a deep understanding of a customer's business are all critical factors to enterprise-class messaging as well."
Comment was being sought from Sonic Software.
Andrew Orechovesky of Booz Allen, the strategy and technology consulting firm, noted that, "We did extensive independent testing for our environment and determined that FioranoMQ, is the fastest JMS server out there in the market" says Andrew Orechovesky of Booz Allen, a global leader in strategy and technology consulting.
"Fiorano has published open benchmark results since inception and with FioranoMQ, 7.1 we remain the fastest and most scalable JMS Server on the market. We encourage customers and prospects to do their own independent testing to find the truth about JMS Server performance" said Sriram Chakravarthy, Director Product Development, Fiorano.
Supporting mission critical operations at companies such as Boeing, AT&T Wireless, Volvo, Toyota, British Petroleum, and Schlumberger, FioranoMQ "enables reliable exchange of business critical information across the extended enterprise," the vendor maintains.
FioranoMQ also "provides the foundation for Tifosi Enterprise Integrator, Fiorano's comprehensive integration suite, that combines the power of a standards-based Enterprise Service Bus with easy-to-use tools for the deployment of distributed workflows across heterogeneous networks. Tifosi provides a flexible platform for future expansion offering a high degree of reuse, easy extensibility, seamless interoperability and an improved ROI," Fiorano adds.

This conference will teach business leaders what to expect, and what to avoid, to make their SOA journey a success. SOA is a long journey, not a single project, and distributed architectures are inherently complex. Success requires new ways of working, creating more efficient cross organization processes, adopting new tools, and building new skills.Register

A lot of people are talking about Enterprise 2.0 as being the business application of Web 2.0 technology. However, there's still some debate on exactly what this technology entails, how it applies to today's business models, and which components bring true value. Some use the term Enterprise 2.0 exclusively to describe the use of social networking technologies in the enterprise, while others use it to describe a web economy platform, or the technological framework behind such a platform. Still others say that Enterprise 2.0 is all of these things. Learn More
