Fiorano Enhances Java Messaging Server

06/04/2003

Fiorano Software, a provider of Enterprise Integration Middleware, has released FioranoMQ 7.0, the newest version of what Fiorano says is “the industry's only Java Messaging Server with true High-Availability.” HA allows Enterprises near real-time responsiveness and helps them gain a competitive edge, Fiorano notes. This release “sets the standard for reliable enterprise-class messaging,” Fiorano asserts.

"Continuous availability of messages and data, irrespective of hardware or software failures across the network is a critical customer demand for enterprise-class messaging infrastructure. FioranoMQ 7.0 is the only Java Messaging Server that delivers true High-Availability, combined with industry-leading throughput, performance, and stability under high-stress conditions”, said Atul Saini, CEO, Fiorano Software.

“With the pressure of compressed time-frames and near real-time processes, enterprises can no longer afford to have a Messaging Infrastructure without true High-Availability (HA),” adds Saini.

While most JMS Vendors claim HA implementations, none support true High-Availability of guaranteed messages, since persistent messages published on a given server remain unavailable if the server is down for any reason, Fiorano explains. FioranoMQ is the only JMS Server to provide true High-Availability for persistent data published on any messaging server, Fiorano maintains.

“Mission-critical messaging systems such as those deployed by our Fortune 500 customers demand high levels of reliability and data integrity, plus the ability to easily manage and configure systems at a lower cost. With FioranoMQ, customers can develop a comprehensive messaging strategy, and implement it incrementally. Under today's tough economic conditions, with our high-performance, superior flow control, guaranteed delivery and massive scalability, customers see immediate ROI for their JMS solutions,” he adds. “Fault tolerance and redundancy in a JMS server is an absolute must for mission-critical applications that can’t afford any downtime of the messaging server,” said Sriram Chakravarthy, Director of Product Development, Fiorano Software. This also strengthens our Integration product line - Tifosi ESB and Tifosi Enterprise Integrator that are built on top of FioranoMQ, the vendor says.

New features include support for High Availability (HA), Distributed Transactions (XA) and enhancements to the Administration and Management Tools, Fiorano points out. THE VENDOR DESCRIBES THEM THIS WAY:

True High-Availability Support: FioranoMQ is the first JMS Server to provide a true High-Availability implementation that ensures, for the first time, that messages exchanged between business applications are not only never lost but are always available despite software, network, or hardware failures. The HA solution provides robustness to the user in terms of ability to switch to backup server when the currently running primary server goes down. Clients connected to the primary server move to the secondary server and continue to receive messages that were published earlier.

Data Integrity through XA Support:- Local and distributed 2-phase transactions for atomic actions provide the ability for several messages to be grouped together as a logical unit of work and either committed or rolled back as a single unit. Utilizing the JTA XAResource API, FioranoMQ transactions can be directly integrated with database and application server transactions, ensuring data integrity throughout a distributed application.

Quick Guide: What is Enterprise 2.0?

A lot of people are talking about Enterprise 2.0 as being the business application of Web 2.0 technology. However, there's still some debate on exactly what this technology entails, how it applies to today's business models, and which components bring true value. Some use the term Enterprise 2.0 exclusively to describe the use of social networking technologies in the enterprise, while others use it to describe a web economy platform, or the technological framework behind such a platform. Still others say that Enterprise 2.0 is all of these things. Learn More
