SOA Software Announces New Repository Capabilities
01/27/2011
SOA Software, an SOA and cloud services governance provider, announced today the availability of Repository Manager Version 6.3.
Repository Manager 6.3, in concert with Policy Manager, builds upon SOA Software's closed-loop service governance automation solution, ensuring that fine-grained development-time policy decisions are automatically applied to the enterprise's operating environment and enabling users to enforce development policies at runtime.
Repository Manager is SOA Software's development governance platform that simplifies the creation, integration, management and promotion of enterprise assets and services throughout the complete development lifecycle. The tool is designed to automate the path to SOA and cloud, enabling customers to develop, govern and deploy services within the SOA service lifecycle.
Repository Manager also integrates with leading application development environments such as Eclipse and Microsoft Visual Studio, federation with all major run-time registries like including IBM WSRR, HP SOA Systinet and UDDI registries.
New capabilities in version 6.3 include fine-grained service governance, which enables users to define and automate policies around the consumption of service operations as well as services. In addition, the new version incorporates impact analysis at an operation level, so enterprises can now get a more detailed view of their SOA implementation with operation-level impact analysis.
Repository Manager and Policy Manager also are configured to automatically assign provider-side operational policies to one or more virtual services. This automated approach abstracts operational service policy concepts at development time and greatly reduces the potential for human error in the virtual service generation process.
