Hubspan, a provider of cloud-based business integration solutions, and Middleware Management Partners Corp (MMPC), an IBM WebSphere business partner, are joining forces to extend IBM WebSphere to the cloud.
ebizQ received the following:
MMPC is the first IBM business partner to resell the WebSpan platform -- a joint solution from Hubspan and IBM WebSphere. The WebSpan cloud solutions further MMPC's portfolio in integration middleware, service oriented architecture (SOA), business process management (BPM) and messaging as well as furthers the company's reach in key industry sectors, such as healthcare, manufacturing and government.
This strategic partnership enables companies to quickly deploy multi-enterprise integration solutions and extend legacy infrastructure across the B2B cloud. As a "middleware-in-the-cloud" service, WebSpan does not require any hardware or software to install, configure, maintain or support. Customers can increase the functionality of on-premise middleware and integration solutions by leveraging the WebSpan cloud.
At launch, MMPC will sell targeted WebSpan B2B integration solutions to its customers for eProcurement, Accounts Payable, File Transfer and other business processes. The companies are also planning joint industry-specific packages for healthcare and other key verticals.
"MMPC consultants and engineers are experts in middleware, integration and IBM technologies, and with WebSpan, they will provide customers an ability to extend legacy infrastructure to the cloud as well as have a cloud alternative for B2B integration," said Megan Pulliam, general manager of channels for Hubspan. "Our partnership with MMPC is one more step in our ongoing market development and expansion of the WebSpan partnership with IBM."
"WebSpan is a natural complement to MMPC's existing IBM middleware solutions and managed services," said Richard Cromie, co-founder and president of MMPC. "Our customers have expressed a great deal of interest in improving and securing their connectivity with trading partners, and we think WebSpan is an extremely attractive choice to present to them."
