CSC Announces Enhanced Enterprise Print Solutions Powered by Xerox

08/24/2010

CSC (NYSE: CSC) today announced CSC Enterprise Print Solutions (EPS), a managed service offering that enables organizations to transform traditional print into transactional business processes and deliver that output with confidence from anywhere to anywhere securely.

ebizQ received the following:

In partnership with Xerox Corporation (NYSE:XRX), CSC will deliver value across the enterprise, enabling organizations to extend their print capability and cover more of the overall document life-cycle management process.

Not only does CSC EPS introduce transactional qualities to the print process, it also delivers a fully managed service with utility type billing. CSC EPS transforms the focus from managing separate copy, scan, print and fax functions to enable integrated automatic tracking, mobile device printing and global delivery assurance within the clients’ existing printer environments.

By identifying the total cost of ownership (TCO), establishing a printing policy, providing financial controls, consolidating old equipment and realigning resources to core activities, CSC EPS can reduce print and document management costs by up to 30 percent while simultaneously enabling progressive new features to the enterprise such as scan to e-mail, secure release pull printing and paperless media conversion. In addition, through improvements in power consumption and cutting paper/toner usage by 50-75 percent, these solutions help clients contribute to their Green IT agenda.

CSC EPS is collaborating with Xerox, and with Fuji Xerox in the Asia Pacific region, to provide clients with a consistent approach, regardless of location; end to end security, management and support. The global alliance leverages the geographical depth and breadth of Xerox’s Enterprise Print Services offering to help clients design a print environment that improves document management, eliminates redundancies, simplifies technical support and enables customers to benefit from joint innovation.

“Businesses investing in managed print services are looking for a proven, repeatable approach that guarantees results — improving the cost profile, enabling security policies, and accelerating environmental sustainability objectives,” said Stephen Cronin, president, Global Document Outsourcing, Xerox. “By combining CSC infrastructure expertise with Xerox’s market leading Enterprise Print Services offering, this partnership is designed to drive long term growth for clients by transforming the print environment.”

“We are passionate about providing value to our customers by introducing new strategic innovations and increasing their efficiency while reducing their costs,” said Peter Allen, president of global sales and marketing, CSC. “In response to customer demand, we have developed CSC Enterprise Print Solutions in partnership with Xerox to deliver just that. By converting documents to electronic media that would have traditionally been printed, and by delivering secure and assured completion of network-enabled printing actions, we can help our clients contribute towards their Green IT agenda.”
