Granada Corp: RingCube vDesk Enables Us to Best Address the Number One Concern of Any Contact Center Client – How is My Customers’ Private Information Going to be Secured?

RingCube Technologies, the leading provider of managed virtual workspaces, today announced that Granada Corp has selected RingCube vDesk as a critical component for the company’s growing business and ability to protect corporate and client information.

ebizQ received the following:

Rolling out in September, RingCube vDesk is a high-performance enterprise desktop virtualization solution that simplifies the creation, access and management of Windows desktops through Workspace Virtualization.

Granada Corp offers clients 24x7 outsourced customer support using a bilingual “work from home” (WFH) labor force. Now with RingCube, the company will ensure that corporate and client information is protected, while meeting PCI compliance requirements. Not only does vDesk isolate and protect private information from reaching agents’ desktops, but vDesk also adds host protections to augment Granada’s current antivirus and antispyware protections, ensuring the highest levels of information security for private information.

“RingCube software is critical in establishing a secure data tunnel between our agents’ desktops and the secure data networks between datacenters at Granada and clients’ locations,” said Lia Ortega, Director of Information Security for Granada Corp. “RingCube’s technology will further improve our data security capabilities, help us meet PCI compliance requirements, and ensure we always properly safeguard customer data. It provides efficiencies for us at the company and agent level, and will help us grow our agent base by a planned 50 percent this year.”

Granada Corp spent the previous quarter evaluating enterprise desktop virtualization solutions. According to Ortega, the company selected vDesk over competing products because it was the only solution that could offer protection polices for corporate and client information, and best isolate information and prevent it from being copied to a worker’s PC.

“The unique isolation and protection policies vDesk has in place are extremely valuable for us,” said Ortega. “The PCI compliance capabilities RingCube has incorporated throughout vDesk are not only important to Granada, but to our clients as well. The number one concern of any call center client is how customers’ private information is going to be safeguarded. We are now able to address these concerns in a more robust manner.”

Quick Guide: What is Enterprise 2.0?

A lot of people are talking about Enterprise 2.0 as being the business application of Web 2.0 technology. However, there's still some debate on exactly what this technology entails, how it applies to today's business models, and which components bring true value. Some use the term Enterprise 2.0 exclusively to describe the use of social networking technologies in the enterprise, while others use it to describe a web economy platform, or the technological framework behind such a platform. Still others say that Enterprise 2.0 is all of these things. Learn More
