Data managers can use Kalido MDM to define, test, save and execute complex data matching and mapping rules without the need to code complex business logic. This further increases the speed with which customers can deploy MDM for any domain of data.

The enhancements also enable active participation from the data experts in the process of integrating data.

Sophisticated data matching capabilities can drastically increase the volume and complexity of master data that data stewards can manage, providing a high degree of automation without sacrificing the benefit of human decision-making. The matching engine accurately finds matches between attributes, even for incomplete or partial similarity.

In addition to the improved data matching capabilities, the latest release of the Kalido Information Engine also features:

  • A high performance transaction loader that will deliver faster load speeds to the Kalido data warehouse;
  • Greater control over temporary, time-based changes, such as promotional pricing for retail products;
  • Finer granularity over change logs for audit purposes;
  • Increased compatibility and support for the latest releases of various platforms and technologies.
Delivering Customer Value

Eisai Inc., one of the top 20 U.S. pharmaceutical companies, plans to use these new data matching capabilities across multiple data sources to enhance understanding of prescription data.

Like all pharmaceutical companies, Eisai has the difficult task of analyzing sales force effectiveness without having direct, correlating prescription data. Kalido’s business-centric approach to master data management, coupled with its sophisticated data matching capabilities, will help Eisai integrate information across 16 different data sources and correlate the complex relationships that exist among physicians, their affiliations and Eisai’s pharmaceutical products.

Quotes

Mike Stanton, director of BI and data warehousing at Eisai, said:

"We are pleased to be working with Kalido for our business analytics. We are hopeful that this new release will provide information and insight that will be valuable to our sales and marketing teams."

Bill Hewitt, president and CEO of Kalido, said:

“Data Governance requires the ability to manage the complexities in data as well as the explosive growth of data under management. These new features and enhancements deliver on both, providing the ability for the IT department to play a more active role in supporting agile business initiatives.”
