Information Builders announced that World Wide Technology, a systems integrator that provides innovative technology and supply chain solutions, has chosen Information Builders' SOA-enabled WebFOCUS BI platform to meet its growing, enterprise-wide reporting and dashboard needs.
ebizQ received the following:
WWT uses WebFOCUS to create a self-service reporting environment for its more than 1,000 employees to improve efficiency and decision-making. Through WebFOCUS, WWT will empower non-technical business users by allowing them to build, schedule, and automatically distribute custom reports and dashboards. The highly scalable solution will permit users throughout the organization to provide relevant and timely reports both internally and externally to customers and partners.

"With WebFOCUS, we will have a scalable solution that hundreds of users across the organization can easily access or create a variety of reports and dashboards. This self-service reporting environment will help our employees make improved business decisions on a daily basis."
Prior to WebFOCUS, WWT employees had to request single one-off reports from the BI team. This puts a strain on the BI department as they support more than 1,000 individual reports and dashboards on an ongoing basis. WebFOCUS will enable WWT employees to work directly with the reports and data they need. Users can format reports to meet their individual preference, drill down to find relevant data, and create ad hoc queries. The result will be a more efficient and knowledgeable workforce and a better optimized IT organization.
