Active International Selects MediaBank to Unify Print and Electronic Media Procurement

01/20/2010

MediaBank, a provider of integrated procurement technology and advanced analytics software for advertising agencies, announced today that it has been selected as the new provider of media buying, tracking and reporting software for Active International, the nation's best-known corporate trade firm.

ebizQ received the following:

Active International converts excess and other assets, such as inventory or real estate, into high quality media, marketing and operating solutions. The company services global brands across more than 40 categories and places more than $1 billion in media annually.

MediaBank's O|X and A|X Suites are uniquely equipped to handle Active's cross-platform needs. MediaBank O|X enables media firms to manage every part of the media buying lifecycle for print, digital (both Web-based and emerging media), out of home, TV (network, spot and cable), radio and direct response. MediaBank A|X, which tightly integrates with O|X, tracks, analyzes and reports on historical and in-flight media campaigns, providing comparisons of key performance indicators as well as daily updates, comprehensive reporting and centralized management.

"MediaBank's products are highly advanced. MediaBank's O/X and A/X are strong processing and research tools which will allow us to enhance our media buying capabilities and provide additional value to our clients," said Alan Brown, Executive Vice President, Worldwide Media.

"MediaBank's O|X and A|X Suites, like its other agency software, are progressive, 21st Century solutions to the ad industry’s business needs. We're gratified that Active International has identified the value in our products -- so much so that those products will now become Active's central media applications," said Gordon Cohen, Executive Vice President, Technology for MediaBank, L.L.C.

"After more than a year of consideration, the Active International team determined that MediaBank was best qualified to deliver on our selection criteria," said Lou Petreski, Senior Vice President and CIO, Active International. "Using MediaBank's O|X and A|X Suites, Active will be able to purchase and analyze both traditional and new media from a single, integrated platform -- a key differentiator from other available media system providers. The new system will be operational this year," said Richard Vendig, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial & Administrative Officer, Secretary.

MediaBank's O|X and A|X Suites are two of six major suites offered by the company. Together, the six products cover virtually all aspects of agency operations, bringing greater cost-efficiency and accuracy to day-to-day tasks. The suites' ASP (Application Service Provider) delivery means that all software and data remain secure and continually updated.
