An early sponsor of the Cloud Security Alliance, Forum Systems recognized the fundamental need in providing security assurance within cloud computing environments. As a Cloud Security Alliance Corporate Member, Forum Systems advocates that enterprises must first establish secure XML, SOAP and REST-based transactions before implementing their cloud-based initiatives.
“We understand the criticality in protecting organizations’ data assets. And Federated SOA initiatives – the seamless, secure information exchange among Web services, portals and Web applications – are essential building blocks for, and a pre-requisite to, cloud computing,” said Mamoon Yunus, CEO of Crosscheck Networks. “Establishing Federated SOA ensures the security, privacy and integrity of data, mitigates risk exposure, and allows enterprises to safely migrate to the cloud model. We look forward to collaborating with other members to continue developing best practices for secure cloud computing.”
Last month, the Cloud Security Alliance issued Version 2.1 of its “Security Guidance for Critical Areas of Focus in Cloud Computing.” The Guidance included a significant and comprehensive set of recommendations that enterprises should incorporate within their operational security best practices if they are to leverage cloud computing in a meaningful way.
