Using the new content-aware encryption solution, enterprise security and risk professionals are able to set centralized policy management controls for automatic detection and encryption of sensitive information contained in email messages and email attachments. The identification and protection of the sensitive information is accomplished without negatively impacting usability and performance for end users. This ensures that corporate policies regarding encryption of sensitive emails and attached files are enforced uniformly and consistently as information flows in and out of the corporate network.

In the joint solution, the Fidelis Extrusion Prevention System’s Fidelis XPS Mail appliance analyzes email messages and their file attachments as they traverse the corporate network and marks sensitive messages and attachments for automatic downstream encryption by PKWARE’s SecureZIP encryption platform. Therefore, sensitive files and emails are encrypted before they leave the corporate network without requiring any action or policy decision on the part of the user, ensuring adherence to corporate security policies and a graceful user experience.

“The strength of integrating our solutions will allow global enterprises to reap the benefits of content-aware encryption, giving them the power to enforce their corporate encryption policies in a seamless user-friendly manner,” said Bob Winter, Senior Vice President of Channels and Alliances for PKWARE. Gartner forecasts that the security software market will grow to more than $21.8 billion by 2013 with average annual growth of 10.2%.1 Data-centric enterprise encryption software and content-aware DLP solutions help companies to address increasing regulatory compliance requirements.

Additionally, PKWARE has joined the Fidelis Technology Partnership Program which is designed to enable the development of joint solutions that combine Fidelis technology with partners' technologies in support of customer requirements. The program enables Fidelis technology partners to leverage Fidelis’ leading-edge technology including sophisticated document decoding, content analysis and policy engines.

“We are pleased to welcome PKWARE to the Fidelis Technology Partnership Program and look forward to working with them to continue to innovate in our industry by bringing additional content-aware encryption solutions to the market,” said Peter George, CEO of Fidelis Security Systems.

The Fidelis/PKWARE enterprise encryption solution has been tested and certified by both companies and is available to customers immediately.
