Retail Business Unit of Tata Consultancy Services Standardizes Process Knowledge with Lombardi Blueprint

Global Business Consulting Firm Utilizes Collaborative BPM Process Repository to Manage



Lombardi, a leader in business process management (BPM) solutions, today announced that the Retail Industry Solutions Unit of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading IT services, business solutions and outsourcing firm, has standardized on Lombardi Blueprint for managing its retail industry-specific processes. The retail vertical of the strategic global business consulting firm TCS, is now an implementation partner with Lombardi.

Lombardi Blueprint is an ‘on-demand’ process improvement tool that brings social media concepts into the enterprise and is used to collaboratively map business processes, identify problems, and prioritize improvement opportunities. Blueprint is being used as the single repository for collecting process maps and documenting the best practices within TCS’ Retail solution offerings.

TCS Retail Industry Solutions Unit is combining its GNDM™ with the iterative BPM process development approach to deliver rapid value to customers of its solutions. To date, TCS’ industry domain “center of excellence” teams have captured the relevant in-depth vertical process maps and diagrams; their domain experts will now be incorporating Blueprint as an integral part of customer engagements.

TCS participated in the May launch of Lombardi University and announced the certification of hundreds of its consultants via the University’s certification program.
