Axway Gets US Government Seal of Approval for Data Security
11/09/2009
Axway announced that the latest release of the Synchrony Framework has achieved the U.S. government’s Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2 Level 1 certification.
ebizQ received the following:
The FIPS certification brings the benchmark government data security standard to Synchrony-powered business-to-business (B2B) transactions and solutions. Synchrony improves managed file transfer, B2B orchestration and visibility for real-time business interactions via a service-oriented architecture (SOA).
Synchrony received its FIPS 140-2 Level 1 certification from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Recognized globally as a leading cryptographic security standard, this certification is used to accredit cryptographic modules in technologies deployed at U.S. government departments and regulated industries handling sensitive information.
“As collaboration grows globally between private organizations and government entities, so does the risk of exposing sensitive B2B communications,” said Joe Fisher, senior vice president, product and solutions marketing, Axway. “Earning one of the most stringent data security certifications globally demonstrates Axway’s commitment to bringing the highest levels of data security to business interaction networks.”
The latest release of Synchrony also features: an enhanced and collaborative Web 2.0 user experience for monitoring; new Eclipse-based mapping services for mapping and map simulation; expanded Web services and Web services security; and enhanced event management for approving, editing and resubmitting business events based on roles and workflow.
Synchrony Sentinel now features end-user enhancements with a refreshed Web 2.0 based user experience. Leveraging Adobe’s Flex technology, Synchrony Sentinel’s Web 2.0 user experience provides collaborative Internet- and/or intranet-based access to Synchrony Sentinel. Sentinel’s monitoring and reporting capabilities offer new levels of efficiency for end users in managing exceptions in business operations and business processes across all interaction patterns. Collaboration between internal and external information customers brings efficiency in managing today’s real time multi-enterprise interactions.
New Eclipse-based mapping services provide standalone (no server connection required) mapping and testing for improved workflow in managing customer on boarding and customer changes. Services included are design (mapping and configuration), validation (test and simulation), integration (deployment) and documentation (for mappings, specific objects or complete flow).
Interplay, a new Synchrony component for event recycling, provides services for approving, editing and resubmitting business events based on roles and workflow. Interplay powers Axway’s Accounting Integration solution to secure financial processes and flows. With Axway’s visibility and alerting, Interplay provides alerts and indicates where data problems should be remedied, audited or approved.
