Rosslyn Analytics Announces Self Service BI Solution in the Cloud

11/03/2009

Rosslyn Analytics, a technology company that specializes in spend analysis, today announced the launch of RA.Pid®, free SaaS cloud self service spend analysis solution developed specifically for organizations that lack budget, resources or expertise but require affordable on-demand enterprise-class applications.

“Smaller businesses, often neglected by large procurement and BI enterprise software vendors, now have access to easy to-use, scalable and truly affordable analytic applications,” said Charles Clark, CEO, Rosslyn Analytics. “Rosslyn Analytics’ web-based automated spend analytics platform, rapidintel.com, is the ultimate self-service tool delivered via the SaaS model, makes it possible for organizations to seamlessly create detailed reports needed to improve collaboration, innovation and cost savings.”

Today’s announcement gives procurement, finance and accounts payable teams complete control of the spend data in which they want to analyze. Users painlessly load spend data into rapidintel.com through the RA.Pid® Load Manager application. In minutes, one company-wide view of spend intelligence by supplier is presented in ready-to-use, advanced on-demand analytics including dashboards and “slice and dice” reports.

“RA.Pid has enabled Ciba to not only obtain spend intelligence in minutes but allowed us to improve internal processes by automating the collection and management of spend data,” said Quinton Stemler, Managing Director, Ciba – Central Eastern Europe. “For the first time, our finance and procurement teams are able to run analytic reports, independent of internal resources such as our already stretched IT, which give them the ability to make real-time decisions that result in improving our bottom-line.”

Powerful on-demand applications

Rosslyn Analytics has developed in conjunction with customers a suite of pre-packaged applications business users can run 24/7 on rapidintel.com. There are more than 20 ready-to-run pre-packaged applications available to RA.Pid® users which are bundled in eight application modules including KPI Dashboard, A/P Analysis, Spend Analysis, Category Analysis, Trend Analysis, A/P Audit Analysis, Data Enhancement and Administration.

“Analytic applications delivered as a self service over a web platform are ideal for organizations requiring pay-as-you-go access to spend intelligence at a reasonable price,” said Jeffrey M. Kaplan, Managing Director, THINKstrategies and Founder of the SaaS Showplace (www.saas-showplace.com). “Rosslyn Analytics has a solution that enables corporate executives to reduce costs by giving multiple users immediate visibility into company-wide spending data so they can better manage their business processes.”

Death of profit recovery firms

Unique to the market is the introduction AP Audit Analysis, a ready-to-use application that eliminates the need to hire firms to recover lost profits as a result of duplicate payments or invoice errors. The AP Audit Analyzer transforms the way organizations work by focusing efforts of internal teams on prevention rather than recovery.

“Rosslyn Analytics’ new free self service spend analysis solution, RA.Pid, delivers excellent analytical reports that enable us to quickly identify duplicates as well as helping us make more informed business decisions. Allied Bakeries recommends Rosslyn Analytics to any company that is serious about quickly capturing savings,” stated Ian McAllister, Head of Shared Services, Allied Bakeries.

The AP Audit Analysis helps organizations:

  • Identify and eliminate duplicate payments using six of the most common algorithms

  • Complete analysis of all tax transactions processed through AP to ensure tax has been accurately reclaimed.

  • Validate contract compliance including pricing, rebates and other measurables as agreed in the signed contract, against actual invoices/credits issued by the supplier.

  • Provide a statement review, which is essential to ensure all unallocated cash, credit notes or overpayments are captured and the full benefit received.

Mark Holland, Managing Director, Baker Tilly Revas Limited, commented, “Rosslyn Analytics has developed a market-leading spend intelligence platform, rapidintel.com, that not only gives organizations compete on-demand visibility of their spend data, but provides users with an easy to use reporting tool to identify duplicate and erroneous transactions.”
