Cloud Harbor Selects Cordys to Bring BPM to the Cloud

07/15/2009

Cordys, a provider of software for business process innovation, and Cloud Harbor, Inc., an emerging leader in the cloud computing revolution, today announced a partnership that names Cordys as the core technology provider for the new Cloud Harbor Business Operations Platform.

ebizQ received the following:

This strategic partnership also appoints the Cloud Harbor Business Operations Platform as the official Cordys Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) provider for the U.S., Mexico, Central America and South America, and enables Cloud Harbor to sell other Cordys products including on-premise server licenses, training and professional services.

Cloud Harbor is launching the Cloud Harbor Business Operations Platform, a SaaS offering powered by the newly announced 4th generation multi-tenant Cordys Business Operations Platform (BOP-4). The Cloud Harbor Business Operations Platform is a subscription service that provides a cloud environment for developing browser-based process applications and the engine to run those applications. Cloud Harbor is also building an application marketplace where users can obtain free and subscription pre-built applications, as well as find consulting and training assistance. The Cloud Harbor Business Operations Platform beta program debuts on 15th July 2009.

Business Process Management continues to be one of the fastest growing segments of the software market and subscription-based SaaS products are capturing a greater share of software spending each year. Business Process Management Suites are sometimes described as the operating systems of the Cloud because of their ability to orchestrate processes and web services, both within organizations and across organizational boundaries, while maintaining secure access to document repositories, forms and databases for individual users and groups.

The industry-leading single stack Cordys Business Operations Platform consists of a complete suite for next-generation Business Process Management, Business Activity Monitoring and innovative SaaS Deployment Frameworks, delivering a complete PaaS solution. Through this, Cordys uniquely enables the orchestration of multiple services and applications and “on-the-fly” integration with other applications, without the need for programming or complex Application Programming Interfaces.

“This Cordys partnership provides Cloud Harbor and our customers with access to the most advanced business process management technology available today. We are delighted to join forces with software luminaries like ERP pioneer Jan Baan, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Cordys and Jon Pyke the Cordys Chief Strategy Officer and a highly respected BPM industry guru,” said George Barlow, CEO of Cloud Harbor.

“Current global economic pressures are forcing decision-makers to take a serious look at business process innovation to drive equity-generation, operational efficiencies and brand differentiation, and they are looking to do this by outsourcing and utilizing disruptive technologies, like Cloud Services,” said Mark de Simone, Cordys Chief Sales and Business Development Officer. “The Cordys Business Operations Platform establishes a secure, robust and scalable foundation for companies, like Cloud Harbor, to rapidly tap into these new market opportunities by extending their current technology offerings with powerful Web 2.0 collaboration tools and sophisticated business process innovation frameworks.”

“Cloud Harbor’s depth of business process management expertise and breadth of integration experience across industries brings strategic advantage to help the Cordys community develop Cloud applications on the Business Operations Platform,” de Simone added.
