On the heels of Appian's ShareBase announcement on November 10, on November 11 Colosa launched a business process library to offer its ProcessMaker community access to workflow templates.
ebizQ received the following:
Colosa, a developer of business process management (BPM) software that enables small and medium enterprises(SMEs) to simplify workflow through the automation of paper-based processes, has created and launched a new library of business process templates called ProcessMaker Library.
ProcessMaker Library will be available to business managers and owners that want to simplify or implement business processes to increase the efficiency and structure of their businesses. Current downloads available include basic process management workflows and an expense report workflow. The templates are available for download at http://library.processmaker.com.
New templates will be added every month to the ProcessMaker Library, which will be a repository of a range of business process templates. Users can read the
workflow description, and then choose to download the template and import it to
ProcessMaker. Templates can be adapted for Enterprise use.
ProcessMaker is commercial open source BPM software that SMEs use to simplify workflow and business processes. Enterprise users pay for support and services, and do not have to pay for licenses or upfront signup fees.
“ProcessMaker Library responds to a community desire to share workflow designs,” said Patricia Cabero, ProcessMaker Community Lead. “This innovative resource will offer increased utility to ProcessMaker users and grow the community network in new and interesting ways. The Library is in Beta version, and new templates and features are coming soon.”
