Workscape Upgrades SaaS Talent Management Suite

10/09/2008

Workscape, Inc., a provider of SaaS-based outsourced benefits and talent management solutions, today unveiled the latest version of its Talent Management Suite (TMS). Version 6.6 of the Workscape TMS delivers the intuitive tools and integrated talent data that drive employee performance and retention through deep, robust functionality for performance management, compensation, and succession planning.

ebizQ received the following:

The latest version of the Workscape Talent Management Suite includes an upgraded version of Workscape Performance Manager. The integrated capabilities of Workscape TMS 6.6 enable companies to identify top performers and qualified successors and maintain business continuity in the competitive war for talent. By sharing data, such as employee flight risk and corresponding loss impact, acrossWorkscape's performance and compensation applications, Workscape's newest version helps organizations proactively prepare for, and prevent, costly talent gaps.

Tim Clifford, Workscape's CEO, noted, "With average tenure becoming shorter in most industries, retaining and maximizing the value of the people you have now is becoming more and more important. Our latest product suite includes expanded support for year-round performance-driven compensation and begins to extend succession planning beyond the C-suite. This expanded family of tools helps managers make better decisions about motivating and rewarding top performers, leading to better organizational performance and overall company success."

With Workscape Performance Manager, goal setting, sharing and performance evaluations are automated and streamlined, driving goal alignment and enabling management to identify top performers and target high potential employees. Performance Manager comes complete with a competency library, but also allows system administrators to import an existing competency library. Configuration tools allow clients to tailor features -- such as readiness scales, flight risk dimensions, warning levels, goal structures and competencies -- to meet their exact needs. This high degree ofconfigurability coupled with Workscape's reliable Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) delivery model eliminates costly solution management, maintenance and infrastructure expenditures.

With this latest release, Workscape provides extended support of compensation processes including not only focal, but non-focal, off-cycle awards as well. With the same link to employee performance as with annual focal planning, managers are empowered to recognize and reward employee performance through off cycle incentive awards, promotions and other compensation decisions, and to do so at any time during the year.

On a single, integrated platform, TMS 6.6 brings together data and activities that have historically been separate in other solutions, enabling quick access to information across business processes -- performance planning and evaluations, compensation planning, and succession planning. Through a consistent user interface leveraging the latest Adobe Flex technology, users have the ability to reference data from one set of processes while performing activities for another -- for example, referencing performance evaluation information while executing succession planning activities. In addition, seamless integration with Workscape SmartSync and GroupManager ensures that employee, job and other key data are always accurate and up-to-date.

"With Workscape TMS 6.6, we have delivered a single application suite that provides clear direction for each employee in relation to goals, compensation and career path, while ensuring that overall business processes run efficiently with necessary controls and oversight," shared Clifford.

Workscape will demonstrate TMS 6.6 and preview its succession planning capabilities in Booth No. 701 at the upcoming HR Technology Conference, being held in Chicago from October 15 – 17, 2008.

Quick Guide: What is Enterprise 2.0?

A lot of people are talking about Enterprise 2.0 as being the business application of Web 2.0 technology. However, there's still some debate on exactly what this technology entails, how it applies to today's business models, and which components bring true value. Some use the term Enterprise 2.0 exclusively to describe the use of social networking technologies in the enterprise, while others use it to describe a web economy platform, or the technological framework behind such a platform. Still others say that Enterprise 2.0 is all of these things. Learn More
