First SOA Symposium Slated for Amsterdam

Organizers of the First Annual Service Oriented Architecture Symposium announced they will be meeting in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, October 7-9, with workshops to follow.

For the first time in The Netherlands, an international SOA conference with leading SOA experts and authors. The First International SOA Symposium provides a combination of expert speakers from around the world together with on-site SOA training and certification workshops.
Organizers say the theme of the event is "substance only" and the conference committee is dedicated to ensuring that each session provides in-depth coverage and true educational value for the most important SOA-related topics for practitioners.
The agenda (which includes internationally recognized speakers such as Thomas Erl, David Chappell, Peter Fingar, Sandy Carter, Dirk Krafzig, Jim Webber, Ian Richardson, Paul Brown, David Booth, Mark Little, Toufic Boubez and Joe McKendrick) is comprised of 60 speaker sessions over 10 separate tracks.
The event will also include panels, exhibits, contests, and a book launch for the upcoming titles "SOA Design Patterns" (www.soapatterns.com) and "Web Service Contract Design & Versioning for SOA" (www.soabooks.com), as well as a special contest for the acclaimed "SOA Principles of Service Design" (www.soaprinciples.com).
SOA Certification Workshops will be held immediately following the symposium. Participants can complete credit courses in order to gain the internationally recognized Certified SOA Architect, Certified SOA Analyst, and Certified SOA Consultant designations.
