PHASE 2 International announced that it is making available a ‘Zero Sign-In’ option to facilitate quick SaaS application access and availability. The Zero Sign-In option signs users in to all of their hosted applications automatically upon power-up of their computers.
ebizQ received the following:
Easily set at the sign-on screen, users who want Zero Sign-In simply click boxes for ‘Auto Log In’ and ‘Run at Startup’ to ensure that their login is automatic any time their computer is powered-up. Clients still have the option to require employees to sign-on each time they use an application, or to use the company’s Single Sign-On, which requires that users sign-on at the start of each work day and after any four hours of inactivity.
“Zero Sign-In makes using our hosted applications feel even more like using local software,” said Kevin Doherty, PHASE 2’s CEO. “Our client environments are diverse, and we are committed to ensuring that using our hosted applications is as easy, seamless and efficient as possible, while working within each company’s policies.”
Zero Sign-In makes all of a subscriber’s PHASE 2 hosted applications, including the Web-based Office Communicator instant messaging tool, available immediately—and all day—without daily log-in. PHASE 2’s SaaS application solutions include its ShareCAD Pro®, a powerful centralized platform based on Microsoft SharePoint for contractors, architects and manufacturers; and a host of other applications that it provides to customers on a central server-based ‘pay as you go’ basis. Offering use of Microsoft’s SharePoint, Exchange, Project Server, CRM, Office Communicator and Team Foundation Server, as well as PHASE 2's own ShareMeeting and award-winning ShareCAD Pro, the low total cost of ownership incorporated in PHASE 2’s SaaS (Software as a Service) model allows customers to benefit from a broader range of products than they could otherwise consider.
PHASE 2’s SharePartner program lets resellers provide the company’s ‘pay as you go’ application access to customers for whom outright purchase and in-house hosting may not otherwise be economically feasible or practical. Resellers that participate in SharePartner benefit from co-marketing, training and support for the generous suite of affordable solutions they can offer to their clients through PHASE 2.

This conference will teach business leaders what to expect, and what to avoid, to make their SOA journey a success. SOA is a long journey, not a single project, and distributed architectures are inherently complex. Success requires new ways of working, creating more efficient cross organization processes, adopting new tools, and building new skills.Register

A lot of people are talking about Enterprise 2.0 as being the business application of Web 2.0 technology. However, there's still some debate on exactly what this technology entails, how it applies to today's business models, and which components bring true value. Some use the term Enterprise 2.0 exclusively to describe the use of social networking technologies in the enterprise, while others use it to describe a web economy platform, or the technological framework behind such a platform. Still others say that Enterprise 2.0 is all of these things. Learn More
