Acxiom® Corporation (Nasdaq: ACXM) today announced the release of Acxiom BI Platform-X™, the industry's first software-as-a-service platform for information processing and analysis.
ebizQ received the following:
BI Platform-X is a comprehensive, highly scalable turnkey platform offered to clients on a subscription basis. The solution brings together the consumer data, information technology and analytical tools necessary to deliver business intelligence results at a cost much lower than current alternatives.
"BI solutions that enable business growth and profitability are a top priority now more than ever," said Acxiom BI Product Leader Todd Barron. "The explosion of data proliferation and the need to manage, organize and analyze massive amounts of information, as well as gain meaningful intelligence from it, is an extremely complex and expensive undertaking that requires specialized technical expertise and data. This new offering allows companies to deploy a BI platform in less time with less risk and with higher data quality. We’ve eliminated the need for companies to go out and find specialized resources, which allows them to meet their business needs in the shortest possible time frame."
Barron added that the platform can be deployed in a matter of weeks and comes pre-configured with market-leading database, business intelligence, and analytics software installed and ready to use without any capital expenditure.
"Today's executive is looking for a partner that can not only provide the entire hardware and software stack needed to meet their business intelligence needs, but one that has the experience and knowledge to successfully implement it with a consultative approach," said Acxiom CEO and President John Meyer.
"Our ability to combine leading data management services and deep consumer insight with best-of-breed tools and technologies makes this a unique offering for the market."
The platform's pre-configured hosted environment includes all hardware, software and network infrastructure needed to deliver business intelligence, allowing clients to add storage, BI or database capacity on demand, and securely transfer and manage data to and from the system as needed from anywhere with an Internet connection. In addition to the platform, consulting services are available to provide expert help during any phase of the pre-development or development lifecycle.

This conference will teach business leaders what to expect, and what to avoid, to make their SOA journey a success. SOA is a long journey, not a single project, and distributed architectures are inherently complex. Success requires new ways of working, creating more efficient cross organization processes, adopting new tools, and building new skills.Register

A lot of people are talking about Enterprise 2.0 as being the business application of Web 2.0 technology. However, there's still some debate on exactly what this technology entails, how it applies to today's business models, and which components bring true value. Some use the term Enterprise 2.0 exclusively to describe the use of social networking technologies in the enterprise, while others use it to describe a web economy platform, or the technological framework behind such a platform. Still others say that Enterprise 2.0 is all of these things. Learn More
