Tony Baer thinks that SOA is entering an expectation slump, in that the grandiose visions of SOA will be shelved for more incremental advancements. Therefore, a sluggish economy will likely be best for lower-visibility service-oriented islands spawned through grassroots movements with a focus on SOA's cost-saving capabilities.
