Takeaway: While architects argue over the specifics of SOA implementations (REST vs. Webservices, XML or SCA), SOA continues to not meet business objectives. If SOA is ever going to transform business, it should not be lead by architects but instead by a business sponsor and a steering committee.  Until that happens, business strategy experts will continue to be skeptical over SOA's promise.
