TAKEAWAY: Salesforce has announced the Force.com Toolkit for Google APIs. Writer Mitchell Ashley concludes that this strengthens the battle lines over cloud computing and "SaaS bragging rights" in the war between Salesforce.com and Google and Microsoft. But Ashley points out that Force.com has hardly won a dominant position in the PaaS space the way Salesforce.com's other offerings have in the CRM space.
