TAKEAWAY: Integration of SaaS applications with on-premise software appears to be a subject of increasing interest. To that end, Boomi, SnapLogic, and Cast Iron are three companies that are launching offerings to address that challenge. Boomi plans to allow its Boomi On Demand offering to have SaaS applications operate with hundreds of other applications. SnapLogic takes the approach of using open source data integration tools to create Web applications and mashups, and Cast Iron offers appliances programmed to facilitate integration.
