Consolidation of BI Players Gathers Pace
Takeaway: Since March of last year, SAP, IBM and Oracle have offered 15 billion to buy up smaller BI companies. But has the spending had a negative impact on customers and their buying pattens in BI?  The quick answer is yes, as HSBC is now making moves to bring BI in-house.  But still, there is no finish line when it comes to competitive advantage,  which is probably why Gartner predicts good times ahead for BI vendors.
