« Financial services SOA Live Panel | Main | Financial services and BPM: Understanding the hows and whys »
August 07, 2008New blog title, new blog theme
Those of you who track this blog will have noticed a couple of things over the last while: First and not least, I haven’t been posting much and secondly the title has changed from Roads to SOA to FinanceTech Directions. The two changes are closely related as after some lengthy discussions with my friends at ebizq, I have decided to relaunch this blog. However, it will now focus exclusively on the financial services industry and broaden its scope to include all of enterprise infrastructure as it applies to that industry.
Those of you who have read this blog or my Lustratus blog over the last few years will know that this is not a complete change of direction. Not only as a blogger but also as an IT professional, financial services has been my main area of focus for many years and the ‘old’ Roads to SOA blog extended well beyond SOA to cover everything from Open Source to Event Driven Architecture to Web2.0 to BPM.
This doesn’t mean that I won’t continue to cover SOA as it relates to Financial Services of course. However, I will now also be “allowed” to cover all the other aspects of enterprise infrastructure without feeling like I am stepping outside of my remit!
