Ronan Agrees: SOA Needs to be More About the Data

Yesterday, I posted some thoughts on how companies do a great job of streamlining and leveraging processes, but are ignoring the quality and viability of the data flowing through these processes. Which makes for unsuccessful processes.

Ronan Bradley seems to agree with this line of thinking. (What better validation could you ask for?) As he notes in his latest post here at the ebizQ site:

"...a point that I have made consistently over many years when consulting or writing about SOA and BPM: You must recognize the centrality of data integration in these initiatives."
Ronan also points to the upcoming ebizQ Webinar which talks about exactly this topic as well. Ash Parikh of Informatica and Madan Sheina of Ovum will be talking about the need for better data integration behind SOA and BPM efforts at the Webinar, scheduled for Tuesday, December 9th at Noon Eastern. Beth Gold-Bernstein will moderate.
