Applications servers have become the leading development platform in enterprises, but the move to SOA has seen the rise of alternative platforms, including lightweight frameworks, registries, repositories and ESBs, making significant inroads for developing SOA solutions.

Over the summer, Beth Gold-Bernstein and I collaborated on a new survey that explored how application servers will fit into SOA scenarios going forward.

In a new Webinar to be presented on Wednesday, September 10th at Noon Eastern Time, Beth will present the survey results, and discuss the leading drivers behind the adoption of development platforms, what platforms organizations are using to develop SOA solutions, and how they plan to use applications servers going forward.

In addition, Beth will be joined by IBM's Marisa Shumway and Ed McCabe, who will provide a sneak peek into the new SOA-enabling features that will be available in WebSphere Application Server V7.

Tune into the Webinar on the future of application servers and SOA, Wednesday, September 10th, at Noon Eastern Time.

If you miss the live event, an archived edition will be available shortly thereafter.
