Applications on the iPad are surprising people everyday and this one is no exception.
Except it seems to pioneer an entire new generation of Interactive, Touch-driven Visualizations and Drill downs!
I think we are at the start of something big in Interactive Business Intelligence and iPad applications seem to make it possible.
Watch this:
The cool new things on this application on the iPad are the use of two fingers to vary the data ranges interactively. The Cardex view of cascading file folders each representing one set of data makes a lot of data in a database or an Excel spreadsheet come alive rather impressively!
One of the biggest features needed in visualization is Comparison - Comparison between time ranges, between entities in the same time range, etc. What is the point of having terabytes of data if it is not turned into some insights for actionable activities?
Very interesting and the beginning of some very innovative new ways of looking at data interactively and graphically, I think!
Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others. - Jonathan Swift
