Quite often, a good way to gauge concerns about a new technology is the number of startups already getting funded to address Security Concerns in that new area!
With the recent high interest in Cloud Computing, it is only a matter of time before there are many companies addressing Cloud Security.
Authentication, Denial Of Service Attacks, etc are all things to worry about on the Cloud servers.
But this points to security only on the server part of the cloud. Then there are the consumers of cloud computing. On the user side, you still have the problems of security with the users' data.
There are some interesting companies like My Own Bits that produce solutions on the user side like encrypting outgoing communication and decrypting incoming ones.
This is still a largely unexplored area, waiting to be exploited!
But given the slowdown in Venture Funding for these kinds of startups, I wonder if these startups would come up with solutions that work any time soon!
