October 26, 2005Viva Las Vegas!
I’m off to the Enterprise Architecture Conference (EAC) in Vegas this week, just doing a panel tomorrow and a seminar on Friday. I like Vegas, but it is a bit of a hike compared to New York or Boston. Oh well, at least it will be warmer. The East Coast is beginning to cool off.
What I’m going to focus on when doing the seminar are the real issues people think about when considering a SOA, including how they deal with their own requirements, tools that are helpful, and the ultimate technological solution they apply.
As I’m speaking at conferences this Fall, I’m finding that many are sick of the arguments and debates around SOA, in essence the problem is clear and he solutions clearly, once you understand the problem. It’s just good practical architecture, at the end of the day.
Anyway, if you’re in Vegas at the EAC, stop by and say hi. If you’re a vendor, make sure I get my free pen, bag, or the new 4-port USB hubs you’re giving way.
