How to get buy-in for SOA governance

n the last post, I told you about the SOA governance project I am in. This time, I want to share one more idea about getting buy-in for SOA governance.

In my case, I wrote a document for a management presentation. I reviewed the document with the project manager; after the review, he suggested developing a demo.

The idea of the demo was to show the benefits of SOA while presenting a developer-friendly governance process.

This is important because just about everyone appreciates SOA and understands its benefits. But no one likes the governance process.

A good demo can lead to a popular service that may attract developers to use it. A good demo will present the governance process as it should be: helpful, easy, part of development.

It's very important to demonstrate the entire process with all the steps. That way, the people that you want to impress should not be surprised when they actually work daily under SOA governance.

Good luck,

Noam

Noam--

This is very interesting. What were the results of your own demo?

Anne

Hi Anne,

The demo is still in development and not presented yet. I will update on the progress in the next posts.
