Oracle, Sun, Red Hat - one more piece of the puzzle

Hi,

I raised a speculation in 2 previous posts (1, 2) about why Oracle bought Sun and interested in Red Hat. This week Safra Catz spoke in the annual Oracle Day in Israel.

Safra Catz says:"We decided that there are only two ways in which we can build a complete car, and not just supply the parts for you to put together: Either we build it in-house, and have to spend a lot on research and development, or we can buy many little pieces and make them work together."

You can do the math.

Would Safra Catz care to elaborate?

Tapping on your shoulder,

Noam
