I would like to add my own interpretation the following news:Oracle-Red Hat Acquisition Rumors Swirl After Reports Surface

My own interpretation is that this kind of purchase reenforces my opinion from my post on Oracle bought Sun - the SaaS new rival.

This kind of acquisition completes the landscape that Oracle needs to fulfill the requirements for an Oracle Applications as appliance.
My calculation says:
Appliance application = Server hardware (Sun) + Affordable OS (Red Hat) + Database (Oracle) + Business application (Oracle Apps).

Oops, did I disclose something?
