What's between Cloud computing and public transportation

Vote 0 Votes

I read a lot about Cloud computing and I started to get the feeling that this is very familiar. It took me a while to find out. It is like public transportation.

I will start with the good things and end with the less good:

  1. It is not owned by you
  2. You do not pay for the hardware
  3. You pay-per-use
  4. It is greener
  5. You do not have to by the cow to get a glass of milk
  6. You do not have to interact with the mechanic or go to the garage
  7. No insurance required, you will not be responsible for any accidents
  8. It is nice when it is not crowded
  9. You do not control the speed
  10. You have to rely on the driver to drive you safely to your destination
  11. You have to consider other passengers requirements
  12. You cannot ride the bus when the drivers are on strike
  13. You cannot show-off

Since some people prefer their private car and some prefer the public transportation, I invite you to comment your preferences.
