I just want to expose in one picture the various types of IT outsourcing a Enterprise can employ today. Here is a self-explanatory picture:

You can notice a mixture of good old traditional outsourcing such as Data Centre and Managed Services that will take place at the same time with Business Process Outsourcing (such as Call Centre, Recruitment, Payroll...) and Cloud Computing  (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).

The secret of success is too rationalise the number of outsourcing suppliers and harmoniously integrate their services. To achieve this you need this picture.
