Predictive BPM?

Roeland Loggen posted a comment on my post "Predictive Analytics go deeper" about predictive BPM. It seems to me that there is a difference between predicting process execution and predicting effectiveness of decisions so as to control process execution. While it is useful to be able to predict process execution patterns, such as coming workload, it seems to me that it would also be useful to be able to predict the consequences of actions that affect the process. For instance, if I could predict the risk of something I might process "high risk" transactions differently. I have discussed this in a post about two analyst posts on "intelligent process automation" and "when rules go inside-out". I also blogged about turning transactions into decisions and previously on how my opinions on intelligent processes differ from some other "BI 2.0" ones.
