September 05, 2006Using technology to build in "intelligent persistence"
I was ready a book this weekend ("Speak and Grow Rich" by Dottie and Lilly Walters) and came across a great phrase in the context of turning leads into sales
"...genius goes around disguised as intelligent persistence"
It seems to me that using decision automation technology as part of the sales and marketing process is a great way to deliver intelligent persistence. Automating decisions, such as when to follow-up or how, which offer to make and so on is a very effective way to be persistent. Using business rules technology to manage policies and preferences and predictive analytics to increase the insight driving decisions makes this persistence "intelligent". Something to consider.
