A recent article I did for IT Business Edge about governance, risk and compliance (GRC) got me asking the question, what is the role of business process management (BPM) in governance? Coincidentally, this month ebizQ is looking for BPM software and projects specific to governance because that is an editorial focus for September and ebizQ is running a virtual conference on the subject near the end of September.

So I'm doing some quick research on BPM used for governance for an article (or two) that will appear in September. I think there may be two subjects here: IT governance and enterprise governance. The survey instrument for my research is attached. It is aimed at BPM software suppliers but if you are a user with some input, please send me an email.

The article will be similar to recent ebizQ articles such as this review of BPM in Financial Services and similar product/category overviews.

Your company's product(s) may be mentioned based on my secondary research but if you would like to formally participate, return the 1-page survey form by Wednesday August 20, 2008 to dennis@ebizq.net.
