August 24, 2006Bruce on BPM-SOA
Bruce Silver has a nice post on his blog about the relationship between SOA and BPM as well as some nice things to say about BEA's product stack and messaging. I think it shows great insight and pragmatism both Bruce as well as BEA's Shane Pearson and Alfred Chuang.
It's one of those conversations that makes you want to say, "Yes, that's what I've been trying to say but you said it much better." I'm currently working on multiple projects where BPM is being used inside of SOA initiatives and this is something that's been on my mind a lot. Bruce's post is also nice because he discusses some of the technical details of BEA's AquaLogic roadmap regarding the SOA/BPM convergence. At a level of detail that actually makes it useful to readers. (And, he's right, AquaLogic is a brand. The AquaLogic brand is becoming more integrated, but it's still not fair to call it a platform yet.)
