August 14, 2007Future of SOA
At the Open Group’s Enterprise Architecture Practitioners Conference in Austin, Texas I participated in a panel discussion on “The Future of SOA". The other panel members included Eric Knorr, executive editor-at-large at InfoWorld; Tony Baer, principal at onStrategies; Todd Biske, principal architect at MomentumSI, and was moderated by Dana Gardner.
We discussed Dave Linthicum's provacative remark to the effect that in as few as five years, the role of enterprise architect and the role of SOA architect will meld., as well as the business and technical implications of SOA.
The session was recorded. Click here to listen. If you prefer, you can also view a full transcript.
