July 09, 2007Laugh Your SOA Worries Away with Greg the Architect
TIBCO's release of the Greg the Architect videos on SOA may be our best evidence yet that the 20-something YouTube generation has finally hit the corporate marketing ranks. If so, I say roll out the welcome mat. This stuff is hysterical - and may sound very familiar.
Follow the episodes of Greg the Architect, a small plastic doll, as he tries to lead his company down the SOA path. Complete with clueless managers, pushy sales people, and even a Sasquatch who seems to make cameo appearances at meetings. Seeing the little dolls hanging from the trolley car handles as they travel to an SOA conference is priceless. At the end of the "SOA this ... SOA that" episode Greg becomes positively sick of SOA. I think you need some 20-somethings of your own to appreciate that humor. But all in all, this is a must see for all of you looking for a lighter side to SOA.
